Katie Burns, Personnel Manager
Home Town Hospital
250 Center St.
Home Town, IL 60604

Dear Ms. Burns,

I’m a quick-thinking, level-headed Assistant Paramedic with two years experience at Janesville’s Rescue Services.

I’m ready to move on and take more responsibility for providing patients optimal emergency medical services. In response to your ad in Sunday’s Home Town Gazette, I would like to apply for the position of Paramedic at Home Town Hospital.

Prior to my work with Rescue Services, I received my degree as an EMT-P in Paramedic Services from the Southwest Region Vocational School in 2006.

I am a proud member of the American Association of American Emergency Medicine Professionals. In addition, this past summer I received additional training in Emergency Communications, Oxygen Therapy and Shock/ Trauma Assessment.

I am an effective team player and I have a reputation for keeping my head in a crisis. I pride myself on my patient communication skills and work hard to keep patients and their loved ones informed and calm during very trying times.

I would like to schedule an appointment with you so I could tour your facilities at Home Town Hospital, meet your staff and tell you more about the energy, expertise and compassion I will bring with me to this new position.

Thank you for taking the time to read my letter and my enclosed resume. My cell phone is 615.432.1234. I hope to hear from you in the near future.
